Fire Door Inspections

Fire door inspections are a legal requirement under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, designed to ensure doors restrict fire and smoke spread.

Our inspectors, who are Level 3 qualified in fire door inspections, are competent persons.

Inspections are typically conducted every 12 months for standard commercial buildings and every 3 months for high-use areas.

Common checks include

  • assessing for proper certification
  • functional hinges
  • working closers
  • intumescent & smoke seals
  • correct door gap sizes

We check every aspect of the fire door set (door, frame, any surrounding glass, etc).

A detailed check is conducted, along with photographic evidence, and recommendations for repairs and remedial actions are provided in a detailed report.
